One lengend involving Griffins  was Alexand the great. According to the story Alexander captured a pair of griffins and having them starved for 3 days. He hitched them to his throne and Alex started teasing them with chuncks of roasted meat and he left the meat dangling up above there heads.

During the middle ages a lot of humens try to search for the Griffin. Because the Griffin would find treasure and store it in there nest.If men did find Griffin egg's they would mount them into golden cups, believing every bevrage would bring health to every bevrage.
